25% of Encino home buyers have buyers remorse!
I just read a shocking report that stated that 1 in 4 home buyers showed some sort of buyers remorse after the close of their purchase. That’s pretty crazy! Can you imagine making the biggest purchase of your life and then feeling upset about it after?
I want you to know that as your preferred Encino Real Estate Agent, there are a lot of things I do to try to avoid this!
I try to be totally honest
If I don’t like it, I’m not going to candy coat it. If I wouldn’t want to live there, why would you? I’ve been in the business long enough to know when a home is the “right” home, and I’m not going to try to push you into something that isn’t the best fit.
I pay attention to what you’re saying to each other
The best way for me to be able to do my job is by collecting feedback and using it to refine the search. I’d like you to be honest and open with me about what you like and don’t like, but I’ll also try to pick up on signals and conversations you have around me, so that I know exactly what to look for and what to avoid the next time around.
I only show you the properties YOU want to see
You’d be surprised by how many people call me because the agent they were working with was showing them properties they weren’t interested in. I’m listening to everything you say, and even if it means spending hours previewing homes and weeding out the ones that aren’t right, I’ll do it for you.
I try not to offer advice I’m not qualified to give
I’m not a roofing specialist, and I didn’t go to foundation repair school. I simply can’t tell you how many more years you’ll get out of those roofing shingles or whether the crack in the slab is a big issue or a minor patch. When I know an answer, I’ll absolutely give it to you, but I hope you’ll appreciate that I always try to avoid giving you wrong information, and I’ll always recommend consulting a specialist to keep from making a mistake that could cost you big! The biggest source of buyers remorse, after all, is finding out that your home is a money pit.
I push you just a little in order to get the feedback I need
I also never went to mind-reading school, so I don’t know what you’re thinking unless you tell me. You might feel like I’m being to pushy, or asking you the same thing several times, but please realize that it’s only because I haven’t received a clear answer. The best way that you can help me help you avoid buyers remorse is to give me as much feedback as possible about what you like and hate, so that we can find you the perfect home!
